Event and Wedding Information

We are now accepting reservations for Weddings & Events for 2008 and beyond. Garden Valley Ranch is a unique, nine-acre rose garden, home to 10,000 rosebushes cultivated for the sale of their blossoms to both individual cut rose lovers as well as the floral trade. As a wedding site, along with the fields of roses that are in bloom May through November, we offer a Victorian Belvedere, a brick dance floor set in a large lawn, a one-acre garden devoted to fragrant plants, pond gardens, as well as a spectacular 200-foot flower border. A bride's dressing room and restrooms are conveniently located close to the event site. Conveniently located near historic downtown Petaluma, known for its great restaurants, small boutique hotels and antiquing. Our perfect location is a half-hour drive to the wine country, the stunning Sonoma coastline and is a 45-minute drive north of metropolitan San Francisco, with easy airport access to Oakland, SFO, and Santa Rosa. Event Site	The Ranch can be seen Wednesday through Sundays from 10 to 4 PST, or 10 to 5 PDT. Grounds open for viewing include the fields of more than 10,000 rosebushes; a one-acre garden devoted to fragrance; shade gardens, and a beautiful 220-foot border of flowers. We are so excited to announce the availability of our painstakingly restored cottage, with fireplace, claw-foot tub, Queen-sized canopy bed. This idyllic cottage is perfect for a weekend romantic getaway or a honeymoon suite. Please see our wedding area in our nursery for pictures of weddings and other information. The rental fee for the Ranch depends upon the needs of the wedding party, and can range from a simple photography session to a full ceremony and reception, including live music. Available hours are between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Your rental starts at the time the ceremony is scheduled to begin and continues until the last guest leaves. Along with the time for your ceremony and reception, you receive two hours before the wedding for dressing and taking photographs. A parking attendant is included in the initial fee. Extra time is available for an additional hourly fee. Rehearsals are permitted for an hour on the Thursday or Friday preceding the event at no extra charge. A maximum of 150 guests is permitted at the site. Example cost to rent Garden Valley's site: For Saturday weddings during the months of May through September, with the maximum number of guests of 150 is $4500 ($3500 for up to 50 guests, $4000 for up to 100 guests, for Fridays & Sundays, the event fee is $3000/$3500/$4000 for up 50/100/150 guests respectively). This includes the tables and chairs listed below as well as their setup and breakdown, use of the Victorian Belevedere, outdoor dance floor, outdoor barbecue, catering kitchen, bride's changing room in historic train depot building, and parking attendant. Fee negotiable for smaller parties, off-season or mid-week events.
A non refundable deposit of 50% for the event is required to confirm your reservation. The balance of the fee, as well as a refundable $1,000.00 security deposit, is due one month prior to the event. Once the site is booked we can recommend vendors who have been interviewed or worked with extensively and believe they will give you the best choices for quality, service and price. We recommend that you hire a local licensed catering company for your event. All caterers must be approved through Garden Valley Ranch beforehand.
