If you're looking to see beautiful and interesting gardens, Garden Valley Ranch offers several distinctive areas. From the long flower border (220' x 14'), to the Pond Garden (complete with 75' koi pond), to a hydrangea/magnolia border of over 100 varieties of Hydrangeas and 30 varieties of Magnolia, surrounded by woodland perennials, to yet another garden, the Fragrance Garden, complete with a beautiful fountain and plantings of fragrant flowers, foliage and shrubs enclosed in formal hedging of Bay, Myrtle, Box and English Yew. And then, of course, there is our amazing cut rose fields! Peak bloom is Mid-May through June, with the fields blooming May through early November, but something blooming all through the year.
Garden Valley Ranch is open for touring Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., events permitting. Please call 707-795-0919 for weekend event schedules. Self guided tours are $5.00 per person. Docent tours are $10.00 per person and can be arranged by advanced booking (2 week notice, 20 people minimum, includes tour booklet). Come to the nursery shop for our tour guide and friendly assistance. Gourmet lunch for a tour group of at least 20 persons is available with prior arrangement. Sorry, pets are not allowed and we cannot accommodate picnicking. Restrooms and handicap access are available. Children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised. Cameras are welcome.
Coming North on 101
Take Old Redwood Highway/Penngrove (last Petaluma exit). Turn left at exit, cross back over freeway to 2nd stop light. Turn right onto Stony Point Road. Go 1-1/2 miles, then turn left at the stop light on Pepper Road. First parking lot for weddings and events. Second parking lot (100 feet beyond first lot) for nursery visitors.
Coming South on 101
Take Petaluma Blvd. North/Penngrove exit. Turn right at light (Petaluma Blvd. North). Turn right (immediate) onto Stony Point Road. Go 1-1/2 miles, then turn left at the stop light on Pepper Road.
